MOBILE APP FOR DRIVERS
The Terra Logistics system also features a mobile application designed for drivers. The mobile app facilitates two-way communication between the driver and the transportation manager, allowing real-time updates, task management, and map navigation. It enables quick submission of information about delivered shipments by photographing shipment documents.
The mobile app is an extension of the transportation management system and is intended for vehicle drivers. It provides information about assigned tasks, allows task management, route review, marking of loaded or delivered cargo, and direct messaging within the system. It also offers the ability to report cargo damages by capturing photos and providing descriptions. Information about journey documents is available within the mobile app and is also visible in real-time in the main system, enabling monitoring of driver activities.
As the mobile app is an integral part of the Terra Logistics transportation management system, it is accessible only to registered users with appropriate access permissions. Each logged-in vehicle driver can only access their own information, current and planned tasks, and task history.
Benefit
The advantages of the mobile app are such that information is directly obtained in real-time through an internet connection. When updates are made, the driver’s information is refreshed, ensuring that the driver always has accurate and up-to-date data about route changes, new stops, or cargo updates.
The transportation app ensures accurate real-time task transmission, avoiding errors. Drivers can monitor their tasks, view necessary routes, and communicate with responsible personnel for any inquiries. The mobile transportation app can be accessed by drivers via a mobile phone or tablet and operates using an internet connection from anywhere in the world. This ease of access facilitates seamless communication with fellow colleagues, making it convenient for collaborative work.
