ORDER MANAGEMENT

It’s easy to input transport queries and manage them up until invoice issuance with a seamless process. Planners, drivers, and clients all have access to the same information within the Terra Logistics order collection system, reducing the need to input data multiple times. Paper-based shipment lists are a thing of the past. This provides both the company and the client with continuous updates on the status of transport queries and eliminates unnecessary administrative tasks.

How is the order processed?

Within the order management program, orders for transporting cargo from one place to another are entered, along with any necessary information such as weight, format, product details, and more. If additional integrations are established, transport queries from Terra Logistics are automatically incorporated into other used systems, requiring data entry only once. Another option is to provide clients access to a unique customer portal, where they can register transport orders. Through automated email notifications, both employees and recipients receive information about the respective transport request.

Once the driver delivers the goods, the invoice can be automatically generated within the system. Upon verification by administration, the relevant invoice is sent or the transport request is recorded in a collective invoice alongside other transport orders. Special route expenses like waiting hours, repackaging costs, reservation charges, etc., can be easily added as well.

Which systems add the most value?

The order-centric transport management system, Terra Logistics, integrates sales order and purchase order management into the transport management process to enhance efficiency, configurability, and flexibility. As the system “centralizes” orders rather than just dispatching shipments, it provides an overarching view of the entire supply chain. With the right integrations in place, information can be seamlessly transferred from order picking and warehousing to delivery.

By applying information and rules regarding inventory, supply, and replenishment, smarter planning and execution decisions are made, with orders categorized into shipments. Terra Logistics employs API-based integration, treating shipments as part of a larger ecosystem, thereby providing users with effective insights into supplementary processes and information. For instance, timely alerts enable proactive issue resolution or the coordination of repair and update stages.

What makes Terra Logistics a modern supply chain system?

The modern supply chain is characterized by constant changes. Product lifecycles are shrinking, and globalization increases uncertainty due to environmental, structural, and political disruptions. Supply chain networks are becoming more dynamic as companies continuously reconfigure partnerships to meet evolving market and delivery needs. In this new reality, optimization can no longer rely on slow, methodical perfection of static modeling. In a world defined by constant change and uncertainty, optimization is achieved through adaptation, thus emphasizing flexibility, agility, and dynamism.

An order-centric transport management system is highly adaptable. When partners, needs, or contexts change, updated rules allow the system to adapt immediately. When issues or obstacles arise, real-time communication and alerts provide flexibility and rapid course correction. With a comprehensive view of individual orders and the supply chain, companies can effectively organize orders within their networks while examining details.

An order-centric system is ideally suited for today’s and tomorrow’s supply chains. It doesn’t require layer upon layer of system and software collection to compensate for missing elements—whether that’s missing modes, routes, or customer information. Terra Logistics is a product of the natural and continuous evolution of the supply chain, making it advantageous not only for adapting new companies but also for facilitating innovation through a dynamic network. It’s designed to make businesses the masters of constant change, enabling them to expand their space in the future rather than struggling not to drown in the present.
